2011 Honda Ruckus NPS50

What could be cooler than an economical scooter? How about one with an extra dose of attitude. The 2011 Honda Ruckus® is Honda's bare-knuckle scooter that sets a new standard for cool.

Want to blend in? Then forget about a Ruckus. Because this machine packs way more attitude than bikes twice its size. Sure, the thrifty 49cc engine gets you where you need to go and hardly uses any gas doing it. Urban riding couldn't be easier thanks to the V-matic® automatic transmission and electric starter. And best of all the Ruckus is built tough so it can handle all the bumps and dings that modern life dishes out, but does it with a style all its own.

2011 Honda Stateline VT1300CRA ABS

Featuring long, low lines that embody what cruising is all about, the Stateline blends two worlds of motorcycling style: traditional looks plus progressive elements. The deeply valanced fenders arc downward in classic retro style, yet the all-new rolling chassis and overall lines bring a fresh look to the class. Add to that the deep throaty rumble of a big V-twin engine and that classic big Vee power pulse, and you have a machine that's the perfect choice for cruising-anytime you want.

Long and low, with a no-nonsense attitude and the performance to back it up. The Honda VT1300CRA Stateline is a motorcycle that grabs your attention and won't let go. Its all-new chassis includes an aggressively raked front end that looks radical, yet handles with the composure you'd expect from a Honda cruiser. The 1,312 cc V-twin engine uses Honda's Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) for crisp throttle response, and other high-tech features such as three-valve cylinder heads and two spark plugs per cylinder help to produce the wide, strong powerband that makes riding a big cruiser so much fun.

Call it the perfect fusion of traditional and progressive cruiser design, featuring all the classic cues that make the Fury and Sabre so cool, plus a few twists that are decidedly neo-retro, like deep, long fenders.

The brawny 1312cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected 52º V-twin is a thing of beauty, too, with smooth, maintenance-free shaft final drive putting all that torque and power to the ground with effortless ease.

See what happens when you build a custom that’s equal parts old school and new. Then look no further than the Stateline.

2011 Honda CBR1000RR

King of the Open Class.

With the CBR1000RR, Honda literally rewrote the rules for the sporting literbike class. Rated best by one magazine after another, the revolutionary CBR1000RR has established new standards for light weight, superlative handling, remarkably compact dimensions and exceptional performance. Also available with our high-tech electronically controlled Combined ABS for the ultimate in sophisticated sportbike braking performance, the CBR1000RR remains the yardstick to which all others are compared.

You want performance? You want style? Then you want a Honda CBR1000RR. Designed to be the ultimate streetbike, it’s been refined to perfection on World Superbike tracks across the globe. In addition to its powerful engine and refined chassis the CBR1000RR showcases state-of-the-art features no other sportbike can match, like our electronically controlled Combined ABS and the revolutionary Honda Electronic Steering Damper (HESD). The result is one of the most awesome literbikes on the planet, but also one that’s so refined it’s a joy to ride. And after all, isn’t that exactly what you’d expect from a Honda?

New for 2011

- Repsol Edition returns along with an exciting new Red/Black and all Black color schemes. C-ABS model available in Red/Black only.

- All colors have silver frames and silver swingarm.

The Details make the Difference.

The CBR1000RR is a perfect example of typical Honda industry-leading innovation. Combining tons of power, light weight, and refined, responsive handling with drop-dead good looks, it’s equally at home carving your favorite canyon as it is collecting wins on World Superbike podiums. That's the CBR1000RR—the ultimate liter-class sportbike experience.

Stop That! - The CBR1000RR (along with the CBR600RR) are breaking new ground by offering one of the most innovative braking systems ever: Honda’s revolutionary Combined ABS.

Combined Anti-Lock Braking (C-ABS) - All-new, electronically controlled Combined ABS distributes brake force over both wheels, helping to maintain braking confidence in less than ideal conditions. Electronic measurement of rider input on each brake lever permits application of only the front or rear brake in some cases, while the system combines both brakes in others.

Unit Pro-Link Suspension - By eliminating the frame-mounted top shock mount, Unit Pro-Link isolates the chassis from bumps, resulting in more precise handling and better traction. Developed on Honda's championship-winning MotoGP bikes, it's a perfect example of the CBR's superior engineering.

MotoGP-Style Exhaust - The CBR1000RR's lowboy muffler not only looks cool and sounds great, it also offers a handling advantage by moving the silencer lower and closer to the bike's center of mass. GP bikes do that to make the machines more responsive, and you get the same benefit with the CBR1000RR.

Slipper Clutch - The CBR1000RR uses a patented slipper-clutch design with a special cam-assist mechanism for easier actuation. That means you get a light feel at the lever, the feedback a cable system provides, and all the backtorque-limiting benefits a slipper clutch provides.

Twin-Spar Aluminum Chassis - By varying the wall thickness of the chassis' main elements, our engineers can fine-tune chassis rigidity precisely, and in individual areas. You get a frame that offers the perfect balance of a stable riding platform but with no harshness.

Dual-Stage Fuel Injection - Two injectors per cylinder – one primary and one secondary – controlled by an ECU that senses RPM and throttle opening, ensure both low- and high-rpm performance. You get near instantaneous high-rpm response, along with great low-rpm metering and clean running.

Centrally Located Fuel Tank - Centrally located fuel tank increases mass centralization for a more compact frame design.

Idle Air Control Valve - Idle air control valve minimizes torque reaction and smoothes response to small throttle changes through gradual reductions of air and fuel intake when throttle is opened and closed.

Two-Stage Ram Air - Nose mounted, two-stage ram air system provides a high volume of cool air to the airbox, for linear power delivery and superb engine performance.

Honda Multi-Action System (HMAS) Inverted Fork - The HMAS cartridge fork features an exclusive internal piston construction. This innovative design employs smaller-diameter pistons to keep oil velocity high for improved damping characteristics and an expanded range of adjustability. The result: you get more precise suspension performance, especially over smaller surface irregularities.

Radial Front-Brake Calipers - The CBR1000RR's radial-mounted monoblock front-brake calipers are stiffer, for better brake feel and performance. Each caliper uses four chromium-plated aluminum pistons that squeeze lightweight 320mm floating discs for exceptional stopping power.

Honda Electronic Steering Damper
Power is one thing, but the key to a great sportbike is how it handles, and that’s where the Honda Electronic Steering Damper (HESD) comes in. Compact, unobtrusive and super-smart, it helps maintain smoothly predictable high-speed handling and low-speed maneuverability.

Follow The Leaders
Honda has always used racing to improve our sportbikes, and the CBR1000RR is a great example. A major force in the World Superbike Championship, you can follow Honda’s performance and catch up on Team Honda's highlights on our racing pages.

A full featured sport ATV with race ready technology
You’ll know you’re on a powerful ride from the moment you push the KFX®450R’s electric starter. Having a lightweight aluminum frame, long lower front A-arm suspension and a fully adjustable rear shock, this ATV offers track winning handling and confidence-inspiring stability to compliment its powerful engine.
Sharing engine features with the highly acclaimed KX™450F motocrosser, the KFX450R is ready to race. Equipped with titanium valves to keep reciprocating weight low, the engine is fitted with a highly responsive 32-bit digital fuel injection (DFI®) system that automatically compensates for temperature or altitude.
DFI enhances the KFX450R’s ability to translate its four-stroke power into outstanding thrust, with easily accessible torque in the low- and medium-rpm ranges. The fast and reliable KFX450R ATV also includes a lightweight reverse gear system integrated with its five-speed manual transmission. The KFX450R’s reverse gear allows riders to quickly and easily extricate themselves from first turn chaos, trail bottlenecks or any other on-track incident, using the normal shift lever, plus a convenient handlebar mounted lock-out lever.
Built to handle tough trail conditions and win races, the KFX450R’s lightweight all-aluminum frame has both incredible stiffness and significant strength. The high-tech chassis also provides a low center of gravity and excellent roll resistance for higher corner speeds and race-level handling.
The front suspension design utilizes long lower A-arms mounted to a single box-section lower frame tube, paired with dual-rate front springs for excellent rough-terrain handling. In the rear, an adjustable shock with low- and high-speed compression and rebound damping adjustability is mated to a cast aluminum swingarm that offers the ideal balance of flexibility and rigidity. Regardless of track surfaces or conditions, this race-oriented chassis makes the KFX450R ATV a potent weapon.
The KFX450R ATV is easy to work on, so owners can spend more time in the dirt than in the garage. The two-piece front and rear “lapped” fenders make it easier to customize the size of the fenders or quickly replace damaged sections. Even the headlight assembly is quickly detachable for closed-course races — this ATV looks just as aggressive with or without headlights. These features leave little doubt that the KFX450R was designed to be on the track and winning races as quickly as possible.
Owners can customize their KFX450R, using a full line of Authentic Kawasaki Accessories from their local Kawasaki dealer.
As with all off-highway vehicle recreation, Kawasaki encourages ATV riders to ride responsibly and to respect the environment. Kawasaki will pay first-time buyers of a new Kawasaki ATV $100 for completing an ATV rider safety course conducted by the ATV Safety Institute (ASI).

Starting with 2010 Honda VT1300′s 3 young designers from Honda Reseach & Development Americas located in Southern Calinfornia were given the opportunity to build customs based on where their visions would take the Fury, Stateline & Sabre. The designers were given free reign within a limited budget and 2 requirements, full on runners, and stay true to the core of the production vehicle.

Another reality was that the designers had only 3 months to realize their builds from start to finish. The Furious (Chopper), Switchblade (ProDrag) and Slammer (Bagger) debuted at the December 17th 2010 Long Beach, CA International Motorcycle show and will continue on the nationwide tour through 2011.
Based on the 2010 Fury, Nick Renner (Honda R&D Americas) introduces “Furious”, a bold blend of new and old school flavor.  Pounding the street with a 23 inch wheel up front and a 20 on the rear, Furious makes no apologies.

A 45 degree rake and converted hard tail create a clean, pure statement that is simply chopper.  Metal flake, variegated leafing, and diamond stitched seat contrast with the five spoke crushers and Fury tank.  Long and low, clean and mean… Furious is an instant Neo-Classic.

The custom fork is not the only thing on the cruiser is modified, the rear suspension is exchanged for a hardtail unit, which according to experts in this type of motorcycles seems to hear.

With a 23 “front wheel and 20″ rear wheel, the Furious over fairly large wheels, custom paint, a custom handmade saddle and bars on side to drag the uber cruiser feel more stress.

From experience gained on circuits all over the world comes the most exclusive, highest-ever performance 1198 SP ever: aluminium tank, Ducati Quick Shift, slipper clutch, rear Öhlins suspension with TTXR technology, 168 kg dry weight. The 1198 SP is all set for your next track challenge.

Stunning ‘SP’ performance

The 168kg (370.3lb) (dry weight) 1198 SP creates a dream package by taking everything that the 1198 model has, including DTC, DDA and the new DQS systems, and adding top-of-the-range Öhlins suspension, lightweight chassis components, a lightweight factory team-style aluminium fuel tank and slipper clutch.

The high performance, fully adjustable 43mm Öhlins forks, which sport low friction titanium nitride-treated fork sliders, respond effortlessly to every imperfection in the tarmac. Beyond their advanced engineering solutions, one of the most important characteristics of Öhlins forks is their ability to communicate the condition and quality of the tyre-to-road contact patch, a feature that puts every rider in superior control.

The suspension set-up at the rear is complemented with a fully adjustable Öhlins TTX rear shock equipped with a ride enhancing top-out spring and mounted to a single-sided swingarm for outstanding drive and traction.

The front-to-rear Öhlins package is completed with a control-enhancing adjustable steering damper.

On any sport or race bike, the most effective area to reduce weight is its ‘unsprung weight’. These are
components like tyres, brakes and wheels. Lighter wheels have a lower ‘moment of inertia’ that is
beneficial with every direction change and application of the brakes. The 1198 SP addresses this important area by mounting 7-spoke Marchesini forged and machined wheels. Both front and rear are super lightweight and their benefit is immediately apparent. The weight saving is further enhanced with the application of a carbon fibre front fender.

The 1198 SP weighs in at 1kg (2.2lb) less than the 2010 1198 S thanks to the beautifully made lightweight fuel tank, which also boosts the bike’s fuel capacity by 2.5 litres (0.66 US gal) to 18 litres (4.75 US gal). The tank is formed in 2mm thick aluminium, brush finished and then painted and clear-coated to create a racing stripe of natural aluminium that accentuates the factory race tank feel.

The 1198 is supplied with the Ducati Data Analysis (DDA), Ducati Traction Control (DTC) and Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) systems as standard equipment. The DDA package enables the retrieval and analysis of data collected from a previous track session or road trip and DTC monitors front and rear wheel speeds to detect rear wheel-spin under acceleration and electronically reduces engine power to restore traction. DQS allows the throttle to remain open when changing-up through the gearbox, helping to save vital seconds in the pursuit of faster lap-times.

The 2011 1198 SP is available in two colour schemes. The traditional Ducati red is now supported by a new diamond black and completed with red Trellis frames and black wheels with signature red pin-striping.

2011 Yamaha YZ450F
The revolutionary YZ450F: So forward thinking everything else seems backwards.
Races are won and lost in the corners, so we designed our 2011 Yamaha YZ450F to corner better than ever, letting you turn in sooner, get on the throttle quicker and stay on it for longer.
In 2010, we rocked the MX world with the release of our revolutionary YZ450F.
The first ever production bike built around fuel injection. We moved the intake system up front, and slanted the cylinder rearward, which resulted in the most compact centre of mass ever found in a four-stroke. Instant throttle response, unprecedented balance and superior handling were by-products. The Bilateral Beam frame introduced revised geometry moving the fuel tank lower and back, while transferring more impacts to an all-new suspension and gave more feedback to the rider. And it's back for 2011 in all it's awesome glory.

Highlights

Rearward Slanted Engine
Bilateral Beam Frame
Long-Travel Rear Suspension

Key Features:

Engine
" "Reversed" liquid-cooled, 450cc, DOHC, 4-valve, 4-stroke, single with fuel injection and titanium valves. The engine has been tuned for excellent "drivability and controllability" one of the keys to fast lap times. The engine delivers a broad power curve with a great over-rev capacity.
" Unique engine design features a rearward slanting cylinder that is "reversed" compared to traditional designs. The FI throttle body and air box are front mounted while the exhaust exits from the rear of the cylinder. This design is used to centralize mass for excellent handling and a light feel. The other major benefit is the straight shot intake system which maximizes power output. The engine is slanted 7.5 degrees rearward.
" The "reversed" design allows for a straight intake path into the cylinder, providing maximum intake flow and efficiency for excellent power. The front positioned intake means that engine heat will have less "heating effect" on the incoming fuel charge (cooler fuel helps increase power).
" Centrally located spark plug and the 4-valve head promotes a "tumbling effect" of the inbound fuel / air for better combustion, improved throttle response and power output.
" Compact, 4-valve cylinder head design, features a 12.5:1 compression ratio. The intake valves are 36mm in diameter and the exhaust valves are 30mm.
" Lightweight titanium valves (intake & exhaust) and load-reduced oval valve springs reduce reciprocating mass for less friction, faster-revving and smoother-hitting power delivery across the rev range.
" Automatic cam chain tensioner reduces maintenance and cam chain "sliders" reduce internal frictional losses.
" High performance, light weight hollow intake and exhaust camshafts.
" The lightweight aluminium cylinder features a ceramic composite coating which is applied directly to the aluminium, eliminating the need for a heavy iron sleeve or liner. The ceramic coating insures faster, more uniform heat dissipation, reduced friction and a longer service life.
" The cylinder is "offset" relative to the crankshaft to reduce frictional losses between the piston and the cylinder wall during the power stroke. This offset design is a first on a Yamaha motocross machine.
" Crankcase design utilizes an integrated oil tank inside the cases to supply oil to the dry sump lubrication system. This design concentrates mass lower in the frame for optimum handling and lighter weight feeling. There are no exterior oil lines with this design and the internal oil tank is designed to promote air - oil separation.
" Special cylinder design features cutaways that allow the air "trapped" under the piston to enter a side chamber (or cutaway) to reduce horsepower-robbing "pumping losses."
" The crankcase also utilizes cutaways to reduce "pumping losses". The crankcase cutaways match the cutaways in the cylinder for maximum efficiency.
" Lightweight , short-skirt, forged piston provides excellent reliability, less mechanical vibration and reduced weight.
" Piston oil cooler utilizes a pinpoint nozzle that directs oil to the desired portion of the cylinder and underside of the piston, which reduces piston, cylinder and rod temperatures for great durability.
" Oil volume in the engine has been optimized to reduce weight and oil drag related power losses.
" Lightweight gear driven balancer shaft reduces vibration for improved rider comfort and less rider fatigue.
" The crankcase features a tri-axis layout for the crank, main and drive axles. This tri-axis design keeps the crankcase more compact while also centralizing mass for excellent handling. All of the shafts are positioned low in the cases to maintain a low centre of gravity.
" 5-speed transmission features "involute splines" on the transmission axles to ensure smooth shifting and instant hook-up under power. The multi-plate wet clutch features a revised clutch lever actuating arm (engine side) to reduce excess free play as the clutch heats up during a moto.
" 5-speed transmission optimizes engine performance. This 5-speed transmission provides great performance and makes the YZ450F very versatile for MX, Hare Scrambles, Super Moto, Ice Racing and Enduro type applications.
" Quick-access, lightweight magnesium outer clutch cover for fast, easy clutch maintenance.
" Keihin 44mm throttle body fuel injection system is a battery-less design for reduced weight and is designed specifically for MX applications. The 12-hole injector maximizes fuel atomization for more complete combustion and great power output. The benefits of fuel injection include constant ongoing adjustments to insure the optimum fuel - air ratio regardless of outside air temperature and altitude. Other benefits include improved starting and improved throttle response. The system is equipped a throttle position sensor (TPS), plus a range of sensors (engine temp, outside air temp and air pressure etc.). There is also a cold start and fast idle knob which doubles as an idle adjuster too.
" The injector spray pattern, spray direction and the distance to the intake valves have been optimized, while the specially designed straight intake tract helps to maximize the benefits of the FI system and overall power output.
" Optional, compact, hand held "YZ Power Tuner" allows tailoring of both fuel injection settings and ignition mapping. Nine (9) different setting points can be accessed for both the FI and ignition maps. Maps can be stored and shared with other Power Tuners if desired. The days of removing a carb to make jetting changes are gone.
" Compact, lightweight in-tank electric fuel pump
" Larger capacity ACM (alternating current magneto) is used to eliminate the need for a battery.
" Automatic decompression system ensures easy starts in any gear with no manual lever to fuss with.
" Air box (located behind the steering head) features a straight shot intake boot and a washable, dual-stage, foam air filter.
" "Tornado" design exhaust system exits from the "rear" of the cylinder. The spiral winding of the header pipe provides the correct "tuned" length and takes full advantage of the exhaust "pulse" effect to maximize cylinder filling. There is a "resonator" (or power chamber) built into the header pipe. Another benefit of this exhaust system is mass centralization
" Re-packable lightweight aluminium / stainless steel muffler has been designed to optimize the performance of the engine. Muffler disassembly is easy since the silencer bolts together with allen screws.
" Compact, lightweight, single core, dual radiators provide outstanding cooling efficiency.
" High powered ECU controls the ignition and fuel injection processes. There is also a "G" sensor system that will shut down the fuel injection system if the bike lies on its side for more than 10 seconds. There is no special procedure to re-start the bike … just kick it and go.
" Works-style race-spec "barrel adjuster" for on-the-fly clutch adjustability.
" Easy access oil filter.

Chassis
" Compact "bilateral beam" aluminium frame centralizes mass for exceptional handling. This 450cc class specifically designed frame consists of a "High Solid Die Cast" head pipe, hydro formed main rails plus various forged and extruded components. This frame is compact and offers significantly improved "rider - machine communication" (a.k.a. feedback). The engineers have optimized the balance between strength, rigidity and flex. The key goal of the chassis is faster and easier cornering … one of the keys to winning races. The engineers started with a clean sheet of paper and designed the chassis based on the requirements of a 450cc motocrosser. Note: the YZ450F frame is unique, it is not the same as the YZ250F frame.
" The rigidity balance of the frame has been optimized and features high lateral and torsional rigidity with "tuned flex" in the longitudinal direction. The result is a feeling of lightness, agility and traction.
" Lightweight, tapered, aluminium swingarm is produced using "hydro forming", a special method that uses high pressure liquid to form shapes. The shock is positioned in-line with the central axis of the bike. The swingarm pivot shaft is now 17mm.
" Lightweight removable rear sub frame is constructed of square-section, lightweight aluminium pipe. The detachable design allows easy access when servicing rear suspension components.
" Cast aluminium upper and forged aluminium lower triple clamps. Fork off set is 22mm.
" Adjustaable handlebars offer a total of 4 different handlebar positions available (thanks partly to the offset design of the aluminium handlebar clamps) with an adjustment range of 30mm, to suit a wide variety of riders.
" Pro Taper bars provide excellent strength and durability. Foam handlebar pad is included.
" 48mm, adjustable, inverted, Kayaba cartridge forks with 310mm (12.2") of wheel travel. These forks feature a twin-chamber design which means the damper unit is in a separate structure which prevents aerated fork oil from entering the inner damper assembly and reducing its damping abilities. Since the inner damper is pressurized, it also eliminates bubbles forming in the oil. Front fork adjustments include: 20-way compression damping and 20-way rebound damping. Optional fork springs are available through Genuine Yamaha parts.
" The balance between the inner and outer tubes is optimized, while the Kashima coating on the pressure tank and the piston rod reduce friction for smoother suspension performance. The cylinder diameter is 24mm for excellent primary cushioning.
" The 48mm inverted KYB fork also features a Transfer Control Valve (TCV). The TCV enhances the damping force from mid to full stroke and improves bottoming characteristics. The benefit of TCV is more precise control throughout the full suspension stroke. The TCV is located on the upside of the spring and its function is controlled by piston speed, not piston position … hence the term "Speed Sensitive fork".
" "Kashima coating" has been applied to the fork tubes to reduce friction for smoother suspension performance.
" Large "wrap-around" plastic fork protectors provide excellent lower fork tube protection. The "self-supporting" design reduces friction for smoother fork operation.
" Monocross link rear suspension system features a fully adjustable Kayaba, piggyback shock which provides 315mm (12.4") of wheel travel and features separate adjusters for high- and low-speed compression damping. The shock is now in-line with the center axis of the bike for excellent control. Adjustments include: spring preload, 30-way rebound damping, 20-way low-speed compression damping and 2 turns of high speed compression damping.
" The shock uses an 18mm diameter piston rod. Kashima coating is used in the shock body and sub tank to reduce friction and improve suspension performance during a long moto. The Kayaba shock utilizes a full rebound oil lock system for excellent suspension function and great ride quality. The shock spring location is 30mm lower than last year, reducing the centre of gravity.
" 250mm floating front wave-style disc reduces weight, improves cooling and adds style too. The disc is squeezed by a Nissin twin piston caliper fitted with lightweight aluminium pistons.
" "Shorty style" adjustable front brake lever can be adjusted to fit various hand sizes.
" Adjustable clutch lever can be adjusted to fit various hand sizes.
" 245mm rear disc brake features a "wave-type" disc. The rear disc is squeezed by a single Nissin piston caliper.
" Lightweight, compact, integrated Nissin rear master cylinder (fluid reservoir is integrated into the top of the master cylinder) provides strong stopping power with excellent feel and control.
" The rear caliper and the lower portion of the wave disc are protected by heavy duty plastic protectors.
" Compact body work includes front number plate, front fender, rad shrouds, fuel tank, side panels and rear fender which enhance the lightweight feel and look of the YZ450F. This "minimal design" bodywork is a flat design, allowing for fast, easy rider movements. The ergonomics provide a natural and roomy riding position. The body has been designed to maintain it good looks throughout the life of the machine.
" Revised. lightweight, plastic resin 6.2 litre fuel tank is located mostly under the seat, once again reducing the centre of gravity and centralizes mass for exceptional handling performance.
" Lightweight Sun Star rear sprocket.
" Lightweight, 21" front and 19" rear Excel rims provide exceptional durability and help reduce unsprung weight for optimal suspension performance and handling.
" Large 25mm rear axle and a hub design which features a second bearing on the sprocket side for increased rigidity.
